What Sets Us Apart
The wide selection of materials available, combined with the
simplicity and versatility of multi-port valves are utilized in a
number of industries including transportation, food, beverage,
chemical, pharmaceutical and dairy. Machined from castings,
these valves are available in both bronze and steel. Due to
their unique one-piece design these valves eliminate a source of
wear that is common amongst ball valve designs while also
prohibiting leaks.
Quality Controls, Inc. has unique design capabilities which set
it apart from the competition. In addition to their
manufacturing abilities, the Company's engineering staff have
successfully worked with world class engineers, including, those at
General Electric, in the Tier II locomotive design and Kidde- Fenwal
in developing a UL approved fire suppression valve. Quality
Controls engineers have also successfully developed a patented 3A
valve.
For product segmentation purposes, Quality Controls can be viewed
as having three types of product offerings:
- Stem sealed valves used almost
exclusively by the locomotive industry for which GE, Pacific
Railways and Norfolk Southern are major customers
- Conventional, multi-port valves such
as the type utilized by Kidde-Fenwal, Inc.
- Multi-port valves with a "sanitarian's
standard" that can be utilized by the dairy, food and beverage
industries. (Note - the patent for such applications has just
been awarded to Quality Controls, Inc. and the company has now
received "3A approval".)
